The 1st WTKO International Karate Summer Camp in Croatia has come to a conclusion. The camp was held on Brac Island, and it has to be one of the top most beautiful places to hold a karate camp in the world. Tropical weather, warm days, cool nights and spectacular scenery. The island on the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Croatian city Split is definitely a tourists delight. Participants were from Croatia, Macedonia, Greece. Training was twice a day for an hour and a half each session and plenty of time was left for sight seeing, one of the highlights was the tour of Diocleatian's Palace in Split. The host of this event was sensei Jovan Kostadinov who teaches at three locations on Brac Island and is soon opening a school in Split. Jovan was a superb host, in addition to planning the event and making sure everyone was happy with the arrangements he also trained in every session. The training venues were excellent and there was plenty of room for everyone. It was a job well done and I am looking forward to next year.
